The series revolves around Stan Smith (Seth MacFarlane, "Family Guy"), a CIA agent based in Langley Falls, VA, who is an undisputed weapons expert and proud family man. Stan's wife is the sweet, Edith Bunker-esque Francine (Wendy Schaal), who has carefully hidden her party-girl personality for the sake of the conservative man she loves. Stan is constantly butting heads with his ultra-liberal 18-year-old daughter, Hayley (Rachael MacFarlane), who is forced to go through an airport-style security check every time she comes home from a day of Women's Studies classes at the local community college. Angry Kid is a series of stop motion animations from Darren Walsh at Aardman Animations, depicting the mini-adventures of a 15 year old British brat with an attitude problem. Most of the episodes contain adult content. Angry Kid is not claymation as is usual with Aardman productions, but a combination of pixilation, mask replacement and live action. It is a technique pioneered by Walsh and involves taking a live actor, sitting perfectly still and being moved like a puppet, while masks are replaced, to give the effect of speech and shot frame by frame. The series is currently shown on digital channel BBC Three and Dave between some shows from 9pm. The series is also shown on Teletoon in Canada. Season One and Two have both been released on DVD in the UK, and Australia. All the Angry Kid animations are free to watch and/or download on the Atom Films website.
